Dude, when did this place turn into AznFest 2010? I coulda sworn it was Bro City, USA like a year ago. What the F? Well, anyway, just had to comment on that. Not saying it's negative. Just. Random. Okay. So the fact that there's a cover... Bleh. I have to give this place two stars because, one, the DJ didn't know what the hell was going on; and, two, a bartender disrespected a friend and me so badly I wanted to tear off my own arm to beat him across the face with it :) Allow me to elaborate. I mean, I'm no pro DJ, but why the hell would you go from a super popular upbeat song that everyone's dancing to into a downtempo song that no one's ever heard before... womp womp. Buzzkill! I kinda felt like that was the theme the whole night. Yay yay fun song! one minute to.... what the hell is penetrating my ear drums the next. Then a friend and I asked for a drink at the bar, and in a TOTALLY SERIOUS manner, the bartender told us it'd be free if we flashed him. He wasn't even laughing as he said it. It was creeptastic. We were like... are you fucking kidding us... He had long straggly shoulder-length hair and a mustache, I think, AKA a major case of registered sex offender face. He acted like he was going to take the drink off the bar when we said no, and then we were like "Wait.... can't we just PAY for it?" Jesus effing christ. So upside: Bar area plus dance area... All right. Cool in theory. STRONG drinks for the average price; so at least you're getting something for your $9 or whatever. Downside: Meh music, cover charge, and apparently rapey bartenders. Maybe others are less likely to violate one's body in lieu of payment.

When here first time for Tigerheat with a group of friends 2/25/2010. Unfortunately it was Miley Cyrus night and the DJ totally sucked. I am not a huge Miley fan but they could have played some more songs there were actually dance-able ... one song of hers that they played which will haunt me forever was "Hoedown Throwdown" WTH?! Really?!? The place was practically empty when we first arrived just before 10:30pm getting in on the $2-$3 drink specials. It was really weird each bar in the place seemed to have its own drink that was going on special. At one place it was some sort of Sweet Tea drink and at another it was Long Islands. The fact that they served different specials at different bars threw me off and when I asked for a Long Island thinking it was still a special at the next bar it turned out to be $12! I also did not like that attitude that the bartender, Matthew gave us. There were no customers at the bar besides our group, so I tried to be friendly make small talk but I didn't know what his problem was because he was just so rude! There was another party at the time so one section to the left of the entrance way was closed. But the areas where I could visit were alright, by 12pm the place got super packed and we went to the top balcony to sit down and rest our feet. Overall still a fun time, but drinks can add up. Try and find street parking since it is a week night you might get lucky and save some cash.
