by Val H. on I wanted to give this place only 3 stars but for once I must give a place credit for the atmosphere. Old parking garage turned into chic garden zen like dining experience always filled with interesting people. Because the prices are pretty high I usually stick to the burgers always with a side of PORTABELLA MUSHROOM FRIESSS (yuuuummmyyy)
by nandita m. on I went there with a friend who won some kind of free coupon that was supposed to allow free entry and "open" bar for ten of her friends...I wasn't aware that the "open" bar was only for a select few (watered down) drinks. I went up to the bar and asked for a black russian- the bartender made my drink- and when she asked me to pay i pointed to my wristband and said i was told it was an open bar. she told us that those drinks were not covered under the open bar and snatched my drink and flung it into the sink. apparently she decided that throwing someone's drink down the drain was a better thing than being polite and nice. I tried to tell the bartender that her behaviour was uncalled for but she just walked off on me. It left me with a story to tell, and hell lot of negative publicity for this trashy place. I have several friends visiting NYC and asking me for recos, I know where NOT to send them.
