by Natalie M. on The architecture and decor of this place is really beautiful. I came here on a Saturday night and the bar area was totally packed. They should open up the huge empty restaurant part when the kitchen is closed. The DJ was good except that Buddha Bar owners should really think about investing in a better sound system. The drinks are super expensive and they automatically include the bartender's tip. I was really annoyed when I saw that on the bill.
by Genaro Norlander on "Viagra for women" Puahahha! The show was a tad bit cheesy but we enjoyed laughing and poking fun at the uncoordinated routines. I felt a bit lame being in a group of girls that paid $20 for a group photo with the men(they were only willing to snap one photo per camera per $20). I felt even more lame when our group agreed to paying $25p/p admission (regular $20) for upgraded seating. Which turned out to the very back of the center stage, we got robbed, damn hustlers. Overall it was a fun bachlorette party destination, once is enough. fyi: when making reservations over the phone, they claim that the lines get massive so you should come early but its not true. They say something like, "yeah last week we had over 300 people waiting in line at 645 (show starts 8pm)". Then when we get there and are seated, we are told by the dancers that they are expecting 600 people to show for the night. I can tell you thats a lie. Don't fall for it. For those of you who come expecting to see Marcus, i'm not sure if he works there anymore. He wasn't part of our show but we did enjoy seeing cocky bigheaded Gustavo. We had a few drinks and by the end of the show and although it was pretty lame shouting for Gustavo to give our bachlorette a dance, it was fun. Two drink mandatory with admission. Ask for your drink to be made strong and it won't make a difference. It will still come out weak. I drink once every one to two months so believe me, Im weak sauce and their drinks are even weak for me.
by Wilfredo Yero on Good for large groups. A bit sketchy (in crowd and juxtaposition) but again - I suggest going here with a bunch of friends. The club is such a massive space that it can be rather intimidating. On a Saturday night my friends and I went here and had fun salsa dancing - but also checked out the other club's rooms with current hip hop/pop mixes - which only seemed to get sketchier. Ah well. Not someplace I'd go out of my way to get to. Nah, I probably wouldn't want to go there again. Especially when salsa lessons are sometimes free elsewhere with no cover charge.
