Lime on Tuesdays is Ladies Night, and they have 1/2 off all food. The food plates are pretty small, but tasty, and when you are paying 1/2 price it works out well for a nice snack with your happy hour. The drinks are okay. Actually the last time I went there I had three cape codders and a beer and walked over to the BOC completely wasted... so apparently that particular bartender made them strong because normally I can handle many more than I did that night. The bar scene itself is kinda cool, it has a plush look. White seats I believe, pink lighting, and some lime green accents.

I've been here a couple times this summer now and I can officially say that I've fallen in love with the Frying Pan. While the trek out to 26th & the West Side Highway is not for the faint of heart, the trip is definitely worth it. After navigating through a seemingly endless array of Chelsea high-rises, one is greeted with the most peculiar image of two wooden bridges leading onto a barge that looks as if it came straight from the bayou. From there you can move around a rustic if not whimsical assortment of aging kegs and yards of rope that are effortlessly strew about the vessel. Now park yourself up to the bar and order from their rather wide array of grilled fare. While none of offerings here are exactly culinary masterpieces, they all seem to magically taste like the best food you've ever had once you've downed a couple beers and are sitting on the top deck taking in the views of Jersey and Lower Manhattan. Wait around until sunset, to fully appreciate the Frying Pan as some of the most incredible vistas of the Hudson can be seen from your very table. But know that if you stay too long you'll get caught in the after work crowds that love the frequent this place in the summer months. Not that that's a bad thing, just be aware that you will and your co-workers will be standing shoulder to shoulder for some time. If you have yet to visit, start to plan your first trip to the Frying Pan now before its too late. There are only a couple weeks left in the summer!

decor: really beautiful restaurant. very unique and not what you expect. it looks small looking through the window, but the restaurant is rather spacious in the back. apparently lower level seating exists. food: the calamari appetizer was quite tender, but i wasn't wowed. i ordered the steak frites, which was quite delicious. homemade fries were perfect. the steak was also cooked nicely. service: great attention and service. waiter a bit overly eager. calm down. price: pretty pricey, save for a semi-special occasion. the place was e-m-p-t-y. i walk by it everyday to and from work and i rarely see it busy. overall: beautiful atmosphere but amalia belongs in another neighborhood. doesn't really fit in the theater district.
