This review is mainly based on my experiences at the Delicious party (women's/ lesbian event). Delicious is the 3rd Saturday of every month, 4pm-10pm, $10 cover. Complimentary tacos. 2 for 1 cocktails from 4pm-7pm 2 for 1 Miller Beers 4pm-9pm The Cafe is newly remodeled, and I think it looks great. Not any HUGE differences, but the dance floor has opened up and can accommodate more people dancing... which was a big problem before, so definitely a much needed change. They still have the great outdoor patio that sits just beside the dance floor, which makes for a fun-filled people watching gasp of fresh air (or not so fresh because of the smoke, but you get the point). One of my favorite lesbian parties. Always a good time. Always great drink specials!

................................This review is for the rooftop only.................................... If you are lucky enough get in before ten to avoid the cover charge head up to the rooftop. The view is amazing! Grab a table, the server will be by eventually and relax and enjoy the time with friends and new ones. By eleven pm it is really crowded and the people are packing it in for the upcoming club scene. Only two beers available. Stella and Bass. The heat lamps will scald you if you sit too close to them and besides the weather is soo nice, you really don't need a table by them anyways. If you need to use the restroom, forget about it! Its one at a time, even for men. Who's idea was that? Rarely do you see a line even for the men in a club or restaurant of this size. For the area this club/ restaurant is in you must make a stop after dinner and have a drink on the rooftop. You must. Thanks again Janice C. :)

GHETTO-fabulous. *Sigh* To be young again... Friend was visiting from out of town, and her cousin was meeting up with his friends for a birthday here... so even though I was warned by not only my fellow rateclubers about this place but also another friend of mine who is quite the SF Nightlife Regular, I agreed to meet up here. Though I arrived past 11... the cover was cheap ($5 -- though I think it was some sort of guestlist thing), and there wasn't much of a line at all. I walked in, and quickly realized that this wasn't really my type of place (anymore)... though I was told there was a "dress code", I think that just meant that the girls were supposed to come scandolously dressed (not really a complaint here). I felt even older when all the "hip hop" jams that the clubhoppers were getting all excited about were completely foreign to me. We stayed for maybe 30 minutes, before we headed off to Pink... came back around 1-130 to meet up with my friend's cousin. It must've already been last call already, because the bar area was pretty much empty, and all the former teenyboppers were still "gettin' low" to yet more "hyphy" songs that I've never heard before. As I'm finishing up this review, I can't help but play Ahmad's lyrics in my head "Back in the day when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore... but some day's I sit and wish I was a kid again" Oh... and DEFINITELY, without a doubt... a complete lack of "Ultralounge" vibe. If you're looking for an ultralounge, try somewhere else... if you're looking to get hyphey, while getting dressed up... this is the place.
