DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS CLUB!!!!!! This establishment is fraudulent and sexist. Their guest list sign-up is all a hoax. My boyfriend and I both signed up for the guest list and received confirmation emails from the clubs website.  We arrived early to comply by the guest list hour so that we could get in with a $10 cover instead of $20.  When we arrive at the hostess stand, the hostess claimed that our names were not on the list and that we had to pay full price. (yeah so the employees can pocket the extra cash?! F*** that!) Not only that but the management and the bouncers are a bunch of D**ks who think their god and they won't allow guys in unless there is an even ratio of guys to girls.  Thats discriminatory if you ask me. I even overheard one of the bouncers saying that they hate working for this club because obviously the management sucks bigtime. Save your pride and your money and visit the many better places that SF has to offer.

This place is the ish. Honestly, I have lived in West Philly for a while and been in the suburbs since college (meaning I was in the city every weekend) and haven't found a bar this laid back and cool, period. It's in Old City, but it isn't a pretentious, trendy, over-priced bar, like many establishments in the neighborhood. They'll play anything from indy rock and underground hip-hop to Bob Dylan and The Clash, and the hipsters have yet to inundate it's stools with their ubercool, "aloof from life and need a pabst with my laptop" attitudes, although there is free wi-fi and cheap pabst. The interior is all dark wood and candle lights and these bizarre taxidermy models with light bulbs stuck in them. There are also stained glass windows, a handmade bar and church pews for booth benches. Overall, the feel of the place is old and gothic, yet very post-moderny. (Check out the bathrooms) The food is cheap for the neighborhood and great for it's price. The beer is even better. Yards for 3 and Yueng's for 2 as well as a slew of micro-brews, big domestics and imports. This place get many thumbs up for dope interior designs, good staff, good music selection and a great beer and food selection. If you're in Old City, I highly recommend.
