by Kris G. on what do you need to have fun? drinks? how about $5 mango margaritas and $5 gin and juice? in addition to a full bar and tons of beers on tap, including stella, yay! bring your cash, or use their ATM for a minimal fee. tunes? how about your choice of top 40 or techno, depending on the night? and a bumpin' dance floor covered in disco balls and spotlights, which seem to focus on the dude in the fedora who swears he's the star in beyonce's latest video (and is there like, every saturday night... but really is damn fierce). a place to smoke? i don't, but my roomies do, and you can find them in the tiki-themed room just off the dance floor where smokers and non alike can find some "fresh" air. mad cool people? well, bring your own. i do, so i barely notice who is there, but it seems like a widely-varied crowd; everyone from hipsters to preppies and all those in-between. a clean bathroom? hmmm, maybe people like you should just stay home.

A half hour later we start wondering when are we getting in. Azizza goes past the chain to ask the bouncer about when they'll be ready. Next thing I hear is my girl getting ghetto. Picture my girl all dolled up waving her hand around at the 7 foot bouncer: Z: What? Why you gotta talk to me like that? Big Bouncer: Pick it up. Pick up the chain. Z: No need to speak to me like that. Big Bouncer: Pick it up. Pick up the chain. Z: No, I'm just trying to ask you a question. Why you got to talk down to me like that? I'm just asking for a little respect. Big Bouncer: Pick it up. Pick up the chain. Z: GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!! What the F**K? Did I hear her say that? Yeah she really did she went there. Don't know why, but apparently God is Good.
