by Erica L. on This is really a three star review but I'm giving it four because I don't think all the haters are being fair. I went to a friend's birthday party here and had a perfectly nice time. Yes, it's expensive, but it's right in the middle of Union Square. If you want to save a few dollars, go to Brooklyn. It's your choice. The staff was very helpful and not at all pushy. We had reserved two lanes for two hours on a Friday night and they let us play for an extra 40 minutes until our last game was finished. That was very much appreciated. No major problems, although our pin-clearing thingy froze for a few minutes at one point which was slightly upsetting.
by Andres Piccolomini on The pizza (artichoke, feta cheese) I had was pretty good. The two specialty drinks I tried were quite sweet, even the one that the server described as a bit stronger. We were there on a Friday night, and it was quite noisy. It seems that on a weekend, it would be hard to easily have a conversation over dinner. The DJ was alright though nothing to write home about.
by Ralph Wayns on This is a very belated review.. but let's just say I went for Halloween and lines were tremendously long with thousands of people and it doesn't help when they have a rude staff. 1 star for good music selection (they have a house room) 1 star for pretty large venue 0 stars for staff, price, and drinks So lines on halloween is expected. But the ridiculous cover charge of $20 at 10:15pm? Very uncalled for. My friends waited in line since 8pm and we were on the guestlist (list closes at 10:30pm), but when we finally go to the door, the two girls collecting money said it was $20 per person now because they're at max capacity and the guest list closed at 10:12pm. It's the most ridiculous BS ever because first off how can you just close off a guest list at a random time, and second of all when we got in it wasn't exactly at max capacity (it was kind of full), but they continued to let in people! Music was ok. Drinks are expensive and whatevers. They didn't have Patron... Again, RUDE staff. A girl was drunk in the woman's bathroom and puking in a stall I suppose, and this scary staff member came in banging on all the doors and cussing at the poor drunk girl, forcing her to get out. How traumatizing. It's a very Asian scene so I actually bumped into a lot of familiar faces and old friends. But overall a whatevers experience and I woudln't want to go through that again for halloween.
