I LOVE this place! As I meander through my "mid" 20s, I'm finding that I'm just not the "club" type anymore, but this place still manages to entice and wow me. I've been twice now, and I've had a blast both times. The venue is DOPE to say the least. I heard it used to be a mansion, correct me if I'm wrong. Cover is $20 but well worth it IMO. When you enter the interior of the club you're greeted by a spread of chocolates and dippers like marshmellows and fruits. Last time I went there a was sexy chick right in the middle of the table serving up smores, how decadent! I didn't have the patience to wait for one so I just shoved some marshmellows and hersheys bars in my mouth and away I went. The main bar inside gets busy and drinks average about $10. The people are some of the best I've seen and racially diverse. The music was bumpin (mainstream pop/hip hop) and the gogo dancers are phenomenal! Whoever that Asian chick is, I cannot keep my eyes off her. Seriously... I just stand there and ogle at her. Usually around midnight they'll have a performance by the female and male dancers. That's my favorite part of the night! Oh wait, I have a new favorite part--when they start serving more free food. Last time one of the patio cabanas opened up and they started serving fresh tacos. Perfect timimg cuz I had the munchies. I've vowed to come back next time :D Tip: there are bathrooms downstairs so don't wait for the two upstairs. You will hear security shouting this all night.

This another case of a cool concept that looks enticing from the outside, but the actual experience fails to impress. I think their Web site says it all: "Sugar Cafe seamlessly transitions from a stylish coffee bar at day to luxurious lounge at night." From a coffee bar with pay by the minute Internet in the corner to a lounge with bitchy bartenders at night? Tough to pull off and I think they missed they mark. My family and I came in for coffee and desserts after dinner at Le Colonial and it was a weird experience. You have to go up to the bar to order and I got the feeling that the bartender was annoyed by the fact that we weren't ordering alcohol. Our desserts took over twenty minutes to come out and most of them weren't anything special, with the exception of the Lambic Float - which is made up of chocolate ice cream, syrup and raspberry Belgian beer.
