by Myron J. on I am a big FISH TACO fan! So when Lucy L. and Mirky Z. suggested we come to Nick's I was ecstatic. Having read the reviews on rateclubs and knowing we were coming on none other than Taco Tuesday, we planned ahead-- arriving around 4:30-5. We got a seat early, (there is no assigned seating as it is first come first served) and by that time the place was starting to fill up. We ordered our food and got a number. The waitress came over and got us a few drinks to get started. Happy Hour is the best, discounted alcohol! The food took a while but not a too long of a wait. The Crispy FISH TACO - at around $4 a pop this thing is HEAVEN, have not found a place better than this in the city! This taco is just oozing with yummy goodness, the cream sauce the guacamole (extra $) and the crispness of the fish. ORGASMIC!!! The other stuff - The other food was just so so, nothing spectacular that would make you scream the big O. Be sure to get here early as this place does fill up quick. If you come late, you will often see people just standing around holding their tray and gorging on the fish taco. Luckily we secured seats so we were able to eat, drink and be merry. We were approached several times by other parties asking if they could have our tables when we left. Bring a beer to the table and ask next time to guarantee your spot. By the time we got up to leave, the line just to order wrapped around to the bar that Nick shares with called, Rouge, I believe. Overall, I had a stellar experience at Nick's and will definitely be back for more. CFT! CFT! CFT!
by alicia f. on I've only visited this place as a concert venue parking is a bit ridiculous $20 the last time I went but if you're willing to walk and have a friend, find a $10 lot. I do like the setup patio-like areas, amber shaded/mirrored entryway to the ladies room, adds a bit of flair I also like their upstairs balcony, pretty comfy
