by Andrew V. on nice bar area, good for watching sports because they have about 2 projectors but that's about it i ordered the baked mac and cheese, very very bland...for the first time i had to actually add salt in order to bring out the taste, i was better off cooking easy mac at home...although the fact that they put bacon in it was great! they have great desserts though, i'll give them that much our waitress was good, very patient with our table...but at times when we tried to get her attention, or besides that other servers, we can tell they chose to ignore us...what's that all about? nice environment, but i wouldn't come back, probably just to drink at the bar though
by aimee c. on I attended my very first poetry slam last night at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and left so happy! The place was packed with people of all ages and backgrounds, the poems were fantastic, and the energy in the house was amazing!! I went to see a friend of a friend perform (Samantha Thornhill) and was really blown away by her. Everyone should go, especially if you've never been to a poetry slam before. I will most def be back here again soon :)
