Definitely one of the better clubs in the city. Granted, I went on a Tuesday so there were no lines, plenty of room to dance, and lots of free drinks. The venue is beautiful. The DJ played a good mix of euro trash music and hip hop.. and he was really hot. Really hot. Griffin DJ, if you're reading this, holler at your girl! I gave this place 4 stars because, towards the end of the night, two guys sandwiched me and one of them tried to put ice down my shirt. WTF? I suppose that's not really Griffin's fault but it was awkward. They apologized later so no biggie. Fun times!

When the restuarant first opened, i organized a road trip from Jersey to Phily to get a taste of this wonderful restaurant. 1. I'm a big fan of Morimoto, 2. I'm a big fan of Karim Rashid. There is nothing bad I can say about this place. I even saw Morimoto in person! He was walking around the restaurant greeting everyone in his crazy pants. The food was great, very fresh sushi and innovative menu. It did not disappoint

Despite requiring Tom Tom and a miracle to get to the Frying Pan, it is ideal for enjoying alcohol on the Hudson in outdoor environs. We, New Yorkers, don't really have a beach in Manhattan and look for any excuse to drink outside when rooftop bars become tired. We drank bucket(s) of Coronas [$35] while we conversed about upcoming jazz concerts, my alma mater, and Lisa Loeb's fortune due to "Stay." The breeze compliments the booze and either quenches your thirst for a beach bar or adds fuel to that burning desire. The structure is a maze of boats connected to shanties, like a scene from Blown Away [a terrible movie from the '90s starring Tommy Lee Jones]. Do yourself a favor: bring your cronies to Frying Pan on a sunny summer day, order the bucket of Coronas (because you essentially get one for free), and come to terms with the fact that this is the closest thing citizens of Gotham have to a beach bar. I realize there was nothing surprising or substantial to come out of this review, but I can't really think of anything that hundreds of others have not said. I just wrote this review because I'm a stat whore and just wanted to add to my total reviews. For substance please consult other reviews. I reduced five stars to four based on the fact that they close at 1 AM, a bit early for my liking.
