by Niraj S. on Went to SOB's Saturday night with a friend and could not believe how rude the staff is. First they let my friend go inside after checking his ID but wouldn't let me follow. I was standing there waiting for the bouncer to check my ID for a good 10 minutes, even though I told him I was with the buy who was waiting literally 3 feet away. That's fine. Mistakes happen. But on our way out, we thought that we'd exit the same way we came in. There was a bouncer standing in front of the door there (another one than the one who checked IDs). As my friend walked past him to get to the door, this complete dick decided to body check my friend into the wall and keep him pinned there with his shoulder. Why? Because "the exit was on the other side." Literally that's it. He had my friend pinned to the wall just to tell him that the exit was three feet behind us. And when we told him *politely* that there was no need to get physical, he asked if we wanted to take it outside. Seriously. For what it's worth, the place is OK and there is space for dancing. But the set-up is a bit weird with little distinction between the dining area and the dance floor. Drinks were $11 for a well drink (a vodka tonic or rum & coke), which I think is definitely overpriced for a place like this.
by Annie C. on I was here for their NYE party. Space was pretty decent but being that it was NYE, it was definitely overcrowded. The music was decent and the staff friendly. I can see why this is a popular destination for corporate monkeys to unwind. Drinks were typically priced. I liked this place because it wasn't pretentious.
