My club of choice, for the goth & industrial nights. The managers and bartenders are cool and the scene here is pretty cool as well. It's nice to be able to 1) go dancing to some good music, 2) on a weekend, 3) without being surrounded by 19-year-olds. (We're not snobs, it's just more fun when there's a more mature crowd.) It's also nice that there are two dance floors and two bars. Strangelove and Temptation are the reasons we go here (please do these more often, Cat Club). If the weekend rolls around and they're not doing either of these events, we are pretty bummed. My only criticism is that the website needs a functional, updated calendar, and it would be cool if their myspace was up to date, as well. On a side note also love Death Guild (at DNA Lounge) and Bondage-a-Go-Go (at the Glas Kat) - but what the heck -- they do these on Monday and Wednesday nights, respectively. Do these clubs think that only the jobless like dark music?!

Cece said it best: "... they transplanted a tacky, STD-ridden slice of the LA clubbing scene to my beloved San Francisco. " hahahaha! So true! If you are considering going here and have standards in terms of crowd, atmosphere, music selection, quality of acoustics, lighting, decor etc.. then THANK ME for posting this review and for steering you away. You will have MUCH more fun heading down 2 blocks and going to Temple. This place is too rowdy for just a quick drink and too sketchy/annoying for an entire night out. Dropped by for a bit since it was free cover but quickly left. Funny note: There was some creepy guy selling shellfish and ritz crackers right next to the coat check stand. It did NOT look sanitary and he had used kleenex all around the food. Only pluses: Cheap(er) drinks, no cover, friendly staff
