by David Z. on Martuni's made me feel like I was in 1930s Manhattan. My friends and I spent most of the time in the piano room, where a sort of advanced karaoke plays out, and the crowd raucously joins in. The people who sing are amazing...I was honestly dumbstruck by how talented they were and how well they improvised and engaged the crowd. Speaking of which, the patrons spanned the demographic spectrum, from young and straight to old and gay. All kinds of people, there to enjoy classy drinks and a lively atmosphere. The drinks were very reasonable (7-8 bucks). As others have noted, the Cherry Blossom was awesome. Unfortunately there's not room to dance (on a Saturday night), and the dude who delivers drinks to the back room is kind of rude. But apart from that, Martuni's is totally a place to check out.
