by Janice F. on Nice place. A lot of areas to lounge at and decent dance floor space. They even had the funky projector lighting up in the ceiling. Wish it was a bit darker though, just to give it the perfect ambiance. Drink prices weren't bad either, but here's my issue. This place had B-boy dancers, so they formed a dance circle. Okay, thats fine and all, but they took up the whole dance floor. It was so annoying. Luckily my friend was brave enough, and walked right thru it with me and we found a little corner to dance in. Then later, she started dancing to her own tune so much, she started backing into the circle and kicking people along the way. That's my girl for ya. Oh, and this place was full of Asian dudes and I'm only 5'4" with 2 inch heels, and I towered all of them. My goodness, I think I kept my eyes closed a couple times, just so I wouldn't exchange eye contact with any of them. I even had to lie and say I was married at one point, just so they would leave me alone. I mean, I just want to dance, that's all. But yes, its a nice place, so check it out sometime.
by Jenn D. on About four or five years ago my band played here once...maybe twice - see I can't remember - and it/they was/were in my top 5 shows played, ever. But lately I have been way too sober here two too many times. Word of warning - never ever agree to be the DD when the destination is the Clermont. Splurge on a cab home or to a hotel instead. I'm dead serious, the memories of this place need to be HAZY. And ... I recommend observing from a distance lest you be scarred for life by body parts that are older than you are. Worst part - the ladies bathroom has a transparent curtain for a stall door. Best part - cheap drinks. Our friends from Boston were especially shocked at the prices. We ordered a round of several shots and a couple of beers and it wasn't much more than $20-25. And I quote our Boston friends, "This must be the happiest place on earth!"
