by Michelle K. on I have realized that this is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. I have over 120 restaurants bookmarked on rateclubs that I want to try and have been slowly getting through the bunch. Flip is the only place I have made a repeat visit to and I always want to bring my friends here when they come in from out of town. I have eaten here probably once a month. It makes me sad to see people complain about the burger size, they are much bigger and thicker than sliders. Also, what I like to do is if I dine with one other person, we order 3 burgers and split them so we each are able to try more things on the menu. With the 1.5 burgers, one side (split), and drink I am usually so stuffed I am thankful there is no dessert on the menu, unless you count the shakes of course. I think the combination of flavors and creativity is very appetizing to the palate and not one taste overpowers another, they usually are very complementary. They have alcoholic drinks and a bar. The only cocktail I've tried is the ginger martini and its great, they have bottled beer as well. The atmosphere at flip is very trendy and at dinner-time almost club-like, with pulsating music and palladia streaming live performances on white-framed plasma tvs. If I had to pick my top 3 burgers I would go with the chorizo, steak tartare, and southern (no particular order).
by Melisser E. on I am a fan of 80's music, so the Cat Club does it for me. I prefer Club Gossip to 1984, but you might find me at either one. The crowd is always a bit odd to me, too many pathetic types looking for a date, but I just dance all night & ignore them!
