by Shannon B. on Unique idea... biggest rip off I have ever seen! $70 per person (drinks not included).... and we received 4 slices of ahi tuna, 1 portabello mushroom slider, and a small plate of tempeh. $70 each for that! Our friends (the meat eaters) received some sort of meat instead of the tempeh that they said tasted horrible! they didn't even eat it. The whole 3 course experience took about 3 hours, and the entertainment in the meantime was ridiculous and offensive to say the least. again, great idea... absolutely HORRIBLE everything else! do not waste your time..... and definitely not your money!
by Daisy T. on The distance makes me stay home, but the DJ's make me keep coming back for more! This place has GREAT trance/house DJ's that perfom here. You can see the likes of... Darude, Above & Beyond, Andy Moor, Armin Van Buuren, TIESTO (!!!!) and sooooo many more! The price to get in for more popular DJ's can go up as high as $50, but on a normal night, it's $20 at the door. Not bad. If you sign up for their e-mail newsletter, sometimes they'll have a free guestlist you can sign up for. The building itself looks interesting. Reminescent of an old theatre, but of course it's filled with two stories of different colored lights and HUGE speakers. Good sound system but sometimes they'll crank the volume too high (one time I couldn't stand to be in the main room!). There are three bars (two downstairs, one upstairs) for your drinking convenience. =) There are also a couple of tables set up elsewhere where you can get your non-alcoholic needs. The one room I can't stand though is the smoking room they USED to have. They've recently had to move the smoking section to outside on the sidewalk. I just wanted to GAG everytime I went into the old smoking room though. You could inhale a whole ciggarette without even actually smoking yourself! At least there's a pool table in there if you're able to get the table when it's free. Luckily there are seats here to sit in, but you can't hear the music in the main room. BEWARE if you're going to go during a special event night. When the place gets packed, it gets PACKED. You'll feel like a sardine in a can filled with sweat. And steer clear of people who look like they're in their own little messed up world. Those people can be really unpredictable. This club beats anything in San Jose but the drive there and ESPECIALLY back are killer. This place is good for you LAAAATE night party people (they can stay open as late as 6AM). Most people don't show up until midnight. I'm too tired of clubbing to really like this place anymore, but I'll go every so often to catch my favorite DJ. =)
