by Marion Chavis on eve is definitely a pretty chill lounge... it has that retro 40's feel to it... bar staff is really cool... when we got there, one of the bar tenders offered us a shot of this new mix drink she was experimenting with... tap wise, i think i only saw like 4 beers... i started off with a dark ale and transitioned over to their hefeweizen... i went on a wednesday night so it wasn't really packed... entertainment wise, they play retro movies on the wall... they also had a live dj who was spinning break beats... pretty chill place... h-100...
by sonya d. on The drinks were good in my opinion, but the bartender was a total dick to me. I guess he misunderstood me. I understand that he was the only one working but on a friday night? Besides that I liked the DJ, it was super fun dancing, awesome photobooth, comfy couches.
by Toney Waligora on True, it's an Atlanta classic and as much a part of the landscape as Coca Cola or Delta....but if you're going to the Varsity for the food then you've got a more durable stomach than I'll ever hope to have. I have a look but don't touch policy on Varsity food. When you've got someone in town for a visit, absolutely take them to the varsity to get a look at it. It's an institution and amazing to see it in action. Yes, the food will be greasy and the crowd will be omnipresent...but it's one of those Atlanta items that you can't miss.
