Ruby Skye is so much fun. I really like the location of this club as it's right in the middle of Union Square so it's an easy place to meet up with people at. Me and some friends wanted to go out for a girls night out/birthday celebration and this was a great pick. I definitely recommend signing up online to be on the guest list because there was a huge line to get in. There's two lines to get in, the guest list and the general admission list, and last night it was twenty bucks to get in with general admission. I really liked how Ruby Skye has the big dance floor downstairs and the loungey area upstairs. There's a bar on both floors so you can get drinks on both levels. It's super loud on the first floor and it's a little easier to talk when you're up on the balcony level. The dj yesterday was so much fun! Tons of electronic music until 4 am. I'm so happy it stays open so late because it makes waiting in line for an hour worth it. The crowd was mixed with sketchy weird people and fun dancy people which is what you might expect at an electronic music dance club. I recommend dressing up to check out Ruby Skye but there were alot of casually dressed people in the crowd.

dont waste your time or money...all the girls where skinny so if you enjoy women with curves or booties...go to another spot. one dancer was very pushy and rude. i paid her to leave me alone. spent about 15 minutes in there and left. very disappointed!!!

This place is extremly expensive it seems for me and doesn't have much reason to be. The atomsphere is nice, but it doesn't justify that my sister and I ate there and spent a little less than $150. I guess I'm just cheap. I will say that the guacamole is outstanding! They make it right at your table just the way you ask for it. I also had a margarita and it was very tasty and strong. For the most part, the other food, I didn't care for. Even with the small protions I didn't end up finishing. This might be a good place for a first date or just to grab some drinks and appetizers but other than that, I dont really recommend it.

Ok, first of all, I've been to huge megaclubs to small, hole in the walls around the world and have generally had a good time at most of them. My main criteria for a good club is good music and people who are enjoying themselves. The Highlands is one of the most cliche-ridden nightlife experiences I have ever had. I had dinner at Loggia at Hollywood and Highland last night with a friend and decided to check out the club downstairs. No cover and no waiting in line, which is good- I would have been even more annoyed had I had to have paid $20 and wait 2 hours in line to get into this place. Everywhere I turned, there were ugly guys with unbuttoned shirts and gold necklaces around their necks. There are certain guys who can pull off that look, but none of the guys there had any clue (heck, if you're going to do it, at least have a BIG gold chain around your neck- none of this small, pawn-shop looking stuff. Go big, or don't go at all!) There were women there committing crimes against fashion: Girls wearing denim skirts with bright red pumps. Girls wearing flip-flops. Women wearing low-hanging tops when they really shouldn't...the list goes on and on. It just made the whole place classless and tacky. The overall vibe of the place was pitiful. Tons of people standing around and trying to look cool- in a junior-high type of way. Seriously, this place has absolutely no substance or class. I highly recommend avoiding this place.
