by Selena Facchine on You Probably won't get in but here are a few reasons that should try to get into 1 Of A Kind: *The Hottest Party in the city bar none *DJ plays everything from "Weekend Wars" to "Life's a Bitch" *Sexy Crowd *Sexy Staff *You can smoke inside *There are more celebrities and models here than there are normal people The only reason not to go here is that you will obtain a tremendous hangover the next morning. The type of hangover that you will have to use a "sick" day at work. I think I feel a cold coming on.
by Dorotha Cothran on Visited Spice Market around the 4th of July weekend of '08. Admittedly it had only opened recently and I guess that could explain some of the slight missteps. Our server meant well and was very gracious, but she seemed nervous. That being said, our Cocktails took forever to arrive! At one point we just told her to forget it. Clone restaurants from celeb chefs are never that good. I'm convinced that Jean Georges has never set foot in that place. On the positive side, it is a beautiful, airy space in the W hotel. I also really enjoyed the duck entree that I ordered. My cousin and her friend who accompanied me was regrettably, unimpressed. My advice, Try the Duck. I'm giving this place a few more months to settle in, maybe they'll be better then. FYI: I've never dined @ the meat packing district original 'Spice Mkt'.
by Mary A. on i came here twice. i ordered to go but sat inthe lounge to have a cocktail which was very well made. they mixed up my order so for the wait i got a drink on the house ( meaning alcohol) i ordered the halibut it was DELICIOUS ate it at home still wonderful with yummy sides. very nice inside the restaurant big roomy & hip
