by Andrew K. on Lime is the Virgin America of breakfast establishments. If you have both been to Lime and flown VA, you know exactly what I mean. While it was an interesting experience to hear the thud of the bass while waiting outside on the sidewalk at 10am on Saturday, the novelty wears off quite quickly once you enter. I did find my head bobbing to the top 40 music once inside, but once I realized that I could not hear the person across the table from me, it was not quite as awesome. The mimosas, the espresso shot with vanilla vodka and Kahlua, and the eggs Florentine were all perfectly mediocre, and thankfully not too overpriced. Would I recommend this place? If you are looking to party at 10am on a weekend, this is the spot. If you want good quality food and the ability to talk with your friends, spend your money elsewhere. Call me crazy, but I go to brunch for good food and company, not to party like a rockstar.
by Michelle Y. on came here last night for a friend's friend's cousin's birthday party. crowded, stuffy, and pricey. oh, and i saw a girl's hair set ON FIRE from a nearby candle... like literally 9 inches in flames. never saw that before. so yeah, won't be coming back.
