by Gaston Cruzan on I went to Kress for the 1st time for two of my Girlfriends B Day, we had the private Glass room that held about 15 people. The night I went , they were hosting a sweet 16 birthday party for Christian Audigier's daughter. The Famous designer has a love child with Ed Hardy that produced a Skull and Roses phenomenon, amongst other designs. Management of Kress was not "informed" of this bash, so anyone who had Dinner reservations was Screwed! No one can come in through the front doors, there were too many pretentious club mongers in the back lot, so no one can get in! The General manager Tawney was a sweet heart, she saved our night!!, she made sure our party was able to get into the restaurant lounge area okay, it took almost 2 hours to get our table but we were thankful!. The food is less than mediocre. They are known for the Kress martini's, you have to try that. the decor was nice, very similar to places in Vegas. Dim lighting, red accents, the gold booths gave a luxurious feel to the place. I recommend trying the place out at at least once on a night you feel like going out, but it is not the spot to dance.
by Eric H. on This is a great space, and no cover, it's a deal.. the music was excellent IMHO, and it seemed free of the ubiquitous, and rather dull shirtless gym crowd, just cute boys of all different flavors. I was tired and sore from walking around town all day, so I wasn't in a dancing mood, but the booths on the dance floor were perfect for viewing, and resting my tired middle aged feet. I got there early on Sunday, at about 10 PM, and stayed two hours which is a miracle for me!
