by Zeke A. on FUN!!!! The venue itself is divey, but the old bar in the front near the street has a lot of character...exactly what I would think of an inviting southern bar. The drinks were strong and delicious! The drag show was HILARIOUS as I was laughing my ass off at the jokes. People all around seemed happy, drunk, and just having a good time. I had a really good time here and would go again - I just wish there was dancing!
by Lauren W. on I definitely agree with other reviews--you need to know what to expect when you come here. I came with some friends early (7ish) for the food and salsa lesson. It was fun, and was worth the $10 cover. But we were the youngest people there...by FAR. The person giving the lesson was great, and the live band was awesome. It was a bit intimidating to dance in the main room with all of the experience dancers, but we stayed in the back room and practiced and it was fun. We left around 9:30ish and went to another bar and continued the night. It was fun to do something different. I'd go back in a few months to keep the salsa skills up!
