by Katherine H. on Good service is just as important as good food. I won't try Yoshi's again because of the service. We had a table for 8:30 on Saturday night and was not told when we made reservations that the restaurant was closing at 10 for a private party. When we sat down, the waiter stressed that if we didn't place a complete order of sushi upfront, he couldn't guarantee that they could accommodate us later into our meal. We immediate felt rushed. Three tables were pushed together for our party of six. When we asked the manager if we can pull one of the tables aside to sit closer together, he said no, not because they didn't have the space, but because they were busy getting ready for the private party, and he walked away. It wasn't until one of us got up and pulled him aside to kindly ask again, did he accommodate us. He was a bit passive-aggressive about it though. I guess the manager thought about it some more, and realized that it wasn't a good way to treat customers so he comped us with some dessert to make up for it. From the beginning, we felt that he cared more about his private party than us and that's just wrong. Too bad. We were planning to go to their jazz club after but because of our experience, we ended up going to Rassala's down the street for music instead.

Bright lights, fake azz Atlanta Models (girls that, because they took a few shots in front of the camera with their azz hanging out, and are relatively cute with a pound of make up-- call themselves models) were roaming around and taking very shots in the club. It was a bit ackward. Regardless, sat at the bar and got a pretty strong cocktail. I have heard on Fridays the martinis are $5...I guess that sounds good. But I am not really a martini drinker. Had some type of chicken wrap that was pretty close unmemorable. Shurgs. I gotta give this place another shot. I just think that I ran in there on the wrong night... Looks like it has some potential.
