I've partied here and I've eaten here, so now I'm fit to review this place. As a club, I like it because you get a nice outdoor area too with fresh air. As a restaurant, the food is nothing to go out of your way for (and you really have to go out of your way to get here), though it's not bad, but the atmosphere is great. It's perfect for a sunny day - sit out on the porch, soak in some sun, look out into the waters, get a table umbrella because you're soaking in too much sun, and simply enjoy lunch.

I frequent National Mechanics when me and my friends end up in Old City. No cover, usually a pretty fun crown, such reasonable drink prices ($2.50 lager drafts in old city? WORD.) and usually a pretty good DJ that spins top 40 hits with some more random electronic music. This place also has an awesome environment, it's built into an old bank that offers a lot of space and an awesome ambiance when you're trying to get your drink on. A few cons - desperately needs more bathrooms and could probably use a bit more space between tables. I recommend Thursday night as Friday and Saturday nights can be hella crowded.
