I've seen A Fine Frenzy, Rachael Yamagata with the Hotel Cafe Tour, and Yann Tierson with Asobi Seksu, and each time I walk in, I'm really impressed with the amount of ornate detail. The food is predictably overpriced and not very memorable, but one day I'm going to pay to sit up in the balcony section. As far as parking goes...it seems easiest just to BART to Civic Center and walk a few blocks.
by Caro S. on Free VIP Bottle Service + entrance for me and 5 friends= I love being a ratecluber! Especially because I won the contest!! I called all my gal pals we got glamed up and off to Sloane we went. "Cuz this is ladies night and the feelins' right... Ohhh what a night!!!" I was a few minutes past my 11:00pm crfew to get in free but the bouncer was totally cool and Alfonso (the man in charge) came out greeted us, led us to our table and introduced us to our waitress, Daisy. We had a long leather couch and table on the first floor near the bar. Our waitress was very attentive as were the other staff. Checking on us regularly making sure we had enough ice, juice, glasses, water, etc. The set up at first seemed awkward but proved to be perfect for our group. It was intimate and we had a place to hang out and dance while still being near the dancefloor/main hall. The DJ was spinning a nice mix of old school hip hop, the crowd was pretty diverse, and the service was impeccable. What more could a girl ask for? Nothing! I am definitely adding this to the clubbing in SF rotation. Side Bar: The bathrooms are in the back and are unisex. Which at first seemed weird but when I realized that both boys and girls needed to wait in the same line I laughed! Finally we get to suffer equally in the much dreaded girls bathroom line. And they have a really nice bathroom attendant.
