by Scott J. on Pros: Good service, nice patio, very good, unique burgers, interesting decor Cons: Smallest parking spaces in the world, burgers were a little smaller than I'd like, clientele is a little douchey I've been once, probably won't go back. Its not that my meal wasn't good or that I had a bad experience, but it didn't really live up to the hype. The Krispy Kreme shake that everyone raves about wasn't impressive.
by Barbara M. on After attending a decent show at Yoshi's, my friend and I wanted more good music. Wandering down the street, we were drawn into Rassela's by the sound of incredibly good music. A look in the door was enough for me -- this was a place with great ambiance, real grown people (no out-of-control can't-hold-their-liquor twentysomethings), and a great staff. The band -- the Robert Stewart Band -- was actually better than the group we'd just seen at Yoshi's. Along with just having a really friendly but classy vibe (and two big-screen t.v.s subtly but perfectly placed back by the bar -- one with NBA highlights and one with the college games), the food (Ethiopian) looked and smelled amazing. We weren't there to eat, but after seeing the amazing plate the women next to us ordered, I know I'll go back not just for the incredible music and the welcoming atmosphere, but for the food. Summary: Top-level music. Dance floor. Great crowd, mixed in age and race, and all well-dressed (at least after a Yoshi's show). Comfortable seating. Modern classy interior. Mostly great staff. TV screens you can cop a look at for sports highlights when your friends are distracted. Amazing food (at least by smell). Reasonably priced.
