The Endup is a great venue - the outdoor area offers a nice relaxing atmosphere that features a fountain, benches for people to take a breather after shakin' it, it's a smoker's delight -- to be able to smoke practically next to the dance floor -- without having to walk in/out and dealing with the bouncers. The outdoor area is a great place to talk and watch people on the dance floor - yeah you better keep your eye on that hottie mcbody! This place is a hybrid of an awesome house party and a club. I have to admit -- I was hesitant to come here at first especially since the "crowd" is not the type that I'm used to partying with but once I got inside, the rumors about the Endup were put to rest -- everyone was out on the dance floor having a blast or they were outside smoking, talking or relaxing. The cover is a bit steep -- but if you can get on their guestlist, $10 is quite sweet for dancing well into the hours of the next morning. My new favorite club? Definitely the Endup. I think I want to get married at the Endup.

My mom and I visited for lunch, to celebrate booking a wedding venue (for me, not for my mom).  Lunch is definitely the time to visit Spice Market, as the prices are lower and the crowds/noises are more manageable.  Mom got the Bento Box ($16), which included miso soup (which she loved), a salad, pork satay with pickled veggies (yum), Malaysian cod with Thai basil (also yummy), and coffee ice cream (really good, great flavor and creaminess).  I went with the $13 Business Express lunch, which came with chicken and coconut milk soup (great spice, and a nice cilantro kick), a Vietnamese chicken sandwich with a wonderfully refreshing slaw, and green tea ice cream (not as good as the coffee, but still a nice finish).  I felt like we got a lot of food for what we paid, but it's still plenty expensive, especially if you have a glass of wine like we did.  I'd like to try a few more things, so I'll be back.
