by Alexito G. on Place is very spacious. The happy hour is an awesome deal to miss out. The food is not that bad. Though they did take longer than expected with our food. I definetly will be coming back.
by Steph C. on Hit up Apple on Thursday and had a rather interesting night. Apparently the Hills were filming there, so I saw Audrina, who looked annoyed, probably because drunk people were shouting at her that they'd seen her (pre-op) boobs. Maybe this was why it took us almost half an hour of waiting right behind the ropes to get in. Because it did. And I was cold. And no one gave me any freakin' eye contact. Come on, people, I'm not as ugly as I look, let me in! Once inside, things were better. There are plenty of areas to move around in, with a couple dance floors and lots of lounge space. Everything felt clean and dry. Truly, bravo. Drinks - I was driving, but judging from the fools I drove - strong. We eventually settled on some couches outside. Very comfortable, and chill enough for conversation with pumping music in the background. Heat lamps kept it warm enough. People-watching was amazing. I love L.A. for the random mix of people, and Apple provided a good showing. There was an incredibly dramatic scene in which a drunk asshole snatched his girlfriend by the...well, that verb was intentional, and proceeded to get very aggressive and verbally abusive with her. After a while, another guy stepped in and there was a fight, replete with thrown alcohol and intervening bouncers. There was some applause when the villain was thrown out. We had a great time and I'll probably end up coming back, but I don't know that anything can top the drama of this night. Maybe next time, I'll get stabbed by a cokehead. That would definitely require an update.
