I thought that this place had both salsa and hip hop music, but the night I went... it was only salsa! And no, I don't really know how to Latin dance. I attempted really bad bachata (thankfully my friend was an expert and taught me the basic steps). I noticed that I was the youngest person in the entire club. Everyone looked like they were married and had kids. And drinks cost $10 in such a crappy club. $10!! You must be out of your mind. Make sure you get on the guestlist, which you can do online on their website, so you don't have to pay $10 for the cover.

The decor is reminiscient of a Bollywood movie - which sounds about right since apparently Bollywood stars are known to frequent this spot. In regards to food, Earth has some interesting Indian and Thai food - I'd have to say its Indian food with an American flair and if I wasn't Indian I'd probably have liked it more. That being said - the stuff we got was all pretty good - the winners were the samosas, dal, pudina naan, and saag paneer. The potato dish was not good at all and the pumpkin and cottage cheese dish was interesting - but I wouldn't get it again. The meat dishes looked good - and the almond crusted jumbo shrimp appetizer was pretty decent. The drinks looked yum - they even had somthing called Pani Puri Vodka - which was a pretty interesting spin on an indian classic. I've been to this place when its in a lounge setting a few years back, and its pretty cool - the dance floor is nice and big and Park is right next door in case you get bored. Would I come again to eat? probably not. Would I recommend this place to eat at? Eh...there are better places. Bottom Line: Decor + Drinks are the reason to come here.

Kind of unhip, in a "we tried really hard to make ourselves hip but ended up with old dudes and Eurotrash" kind of way--which, I find, is typical for Boston. HOWEVER, this place has yet to let me down. I end up here when out with friends and suddenly decide that we have to dance. right. now. Luckily, Saint doesn't seem to be into playing annoying techno that no one can dance to. Instead, hip hop and pop tunes that you know keep the dance floor energetic. I'm pretty sure drinks are extremely overpriced, but cover's not bad ($5) when it exists at all. And, I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're already drunk anyway. Overall, I've always just walked right in for not much money and good tunes and space to dance with friends. Serves its (albeit niche) purpose well.
