I LOVE ME SOME BUBBLE LOUNGE !!! Especially when they play old school hip hop from the 90's : ) This place is trendy, although they do hold up the line. Butttt what club/lounge doesn't. I like the fact that it's free and there's a diverse crowd. A negative star would be for the creeper around me @ the bottom.

Saw Paula West on her closing night. We had a nice seat in the corner of the room, on the bench thingamajig, rather than on stand-alone chairs. We were about as close as you'd expect to the people next to us, right on the border of being a little too close, but it was fine. Pretty basic room, but I think some people have this idea that places like this should be well-upholstered with antique sconces providing dim lighting, but just enough lighting for the tuxedoed host to usher the local industrialist to this usual table, Manhattan at the ready. The room was fine. Maybe it would be nice to upgrade the hotel conference room-issue chairs. The stage is small, the sound is good, and Ms. West was fantastic. Not a very long set, but a fair one, and the encore was 15 minutes of amazing go for broke performances by vocalist and musicians. Parking at hotel is bucks, even with the one hour validation. Park at garage a block away and remember to walk confidently to your car, keys in hand, after the show. Drink menu was good, most prices were fair -- pay cash and avoid having to wait 5-10 minutes to settle up after the show.
