Yes, it's trendy. Yes, it's bordering on the pricey side for small burgers. But the fact that I've been there more than once and that I remember what I ordered is a testament that this place is above average in my book. The nutella milkshake is good and very share-worthy. The fried pickles are interesting, but should be eaten before they get cold. Then they are just cold and greasy. The fries always look good. And I like fries. The onion rings are tasty! Battered pretty well. And yay for dipping sauces. The faux-lafel...ehhh. I think it lacks flavor and spices. You guys at flip hear me? You can do better than this! I can make a better falafel burger by slicing falafel balls from a no-name shack in New York. The turkey burger was good! Flavorful and juicy. It's hit or miss, but I'd give it another shot.

Not for the faint hearted thats for sure. One of my favorites spots to hide, be hidden and just get a grove on. Not all the time can you hear zouk and son at the same place. It's super and small and drinks can be super and watered down- depends who is pouring and when. Always bet you can get a red stripe though. I've taken a few people here from out of town - new york and chicago and they love it! I've had the food here and at the larger restaurant - pretty good but not as authentic as they could make it. I think if they did maybe they're afraid it won't be as loyal of a following - not sure. The plantains and basically any shrimp dish is yummy. It's a super place to practice any kind of language - though its a francophone venue, there are folks from everywhere - spain to ghana and from bangladesh to cape verde.
