by Tyese C. on This place is pretty amazing. Every month there is an event called Africa Rising at this place. The theme is Music. Fashion. Art. I love events like this - they really are rare in the bay area. I love when unique venues like this can support local artists. There are like four major areas to the lounge/gallery: a back area with 2 sections for displaying art or having a fashion show. There is another for the bar that in large and goes all across the wall. Then the very large dance floor. There is a white lounge like couch seating outling the dance area along the wall - nice when you can sit a drink down and still watch it from the floor. Last month's Africa Rising event was a resounding success and featured on San Francisco Examiner, San Francisco Bay Guardian and on TV and Radio. Please join us Saturday, March 28th for another exciting night for live Dj music and a Trunk Show/Sample Sale!
