Let me start off by saying, if you are picky or not familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine, I would think about changing your reservation to somewhere else. The food here is delish, but you need to go in with an open mind. The decor and atmosphere are contemporary, but warm. The open kitchen & dim lighting gives it a nice touch. The bar is a nice size in proportion to the restaurant. The cocktail list & wine list looked fun, I went for an Israeli beer which I loved. The food: -Hummus is great! On the same level with Dmitris -Satin (spelling?) Salads (8 small bites) I would say 6 were wonderful and 2 were horrible (but to each his own) -Crispy Halumi was wonderful, I would absolutely recommend. If you haven't had Halumi before, beware it is a strong cheese with a texture similar to mozzarella -Cauliflower may have been my favorite snack of the night -Veal cheeks were my favorite (sorry cauliflower) they were tender, juicy and served with collards inside a wonderful puff pastry. -The sweetbreads were ok. The texture was a little funky. The portion consisted mostly of fried chickpeas which weren't so good. -The Ground Lamb was very tasty, but dry. I was disappointed. They have the potential to be great! -The short ribs, I could have left them. Not "fall off the bone tender, and pair with a cold salad that just didn't work. My point of this list is, you will love most of it and not care for some. BUT if you order the tasting menu (which I highly recommend) you won't care because you will get a serious amount of food. From my experience, and also from what my friends told me before I went... take recommendations from the servers, at this place, they know best. I am very glad I went, and I highly recommend going at least once to try it. Now that I have tried it, I won't go back, only because Israeli cuisine is not a preference of mine.

I was def. fooled by the pictures and location of this "club". also I just saw it featured on some nightlife program on TV and I almost forgot I went there because they made it look so trendy. Can't forget this though: crappy atmosphere, scrappy crowd, awful drinks, awkward space. Why bother having a 2nd level at all? it just increases the crappiness.
