by Keneth Lauricella on Let me just start by saying if you are a Philadelphian you obviously are going to try this place atleast once. However I don't recommend going back more than that. And to be honest with you pat's isn't that much better. so why there is a war between the two places beats me. Looking for a good steak and decent fries? Leave it!
by Myra M. on First of all, the name of this place totally fits. I use to only wear silver, white gold and / or platinum jewelry, but lately I've favored the gold accessories. So without a doubt, I fell in love with the elaborate array of golden skulls covering every wall of the intimate back lounge room. The overall gorgeous decor with the enormous chandelier and the various peculiarly unique paintings was simply sheik... swanky Taj Mahal. We went on the best night of the week according to a local (my friend who seems to know every hot spot in the city, which is nice... we never wait or have a problem getting in). The music last Sunday night was phenomenal and the crowd was just as sexy. I love this bar! I can't wait to come back!
by Wendell Tobler on This place is a dive bar, but we go here on occasion after work so I can't complain. But i am going to anyway. The main reason I don't like this place is the women's room is gross. It is always dirty and has a weird shower curtain instead of an actual stall door. The music is good and for a dive bar the food is actually not that bad. I wouldn't go for dinner but if you are drinking and need food it is pretty good which is why I gave it an extra star. The fried ravioli is delicious. The Fordham kids hate when all the teachers invade on Friday afternoons.
