So here's the deal, the actual set up is cool and the vibe was great. Drinks are a bit pricey but I suppose that's kind of expected. I liked that as a guest of the hotel I got a VIP card that's grants no line access with a reduced cover charge. You can also get reduced cover if your name is on the guest list which is super easy to do from the website. I wasn't too hot on the bathroom scene which was houses stalls for men and women in the same room. I didn't see any paper towels which I understand, the whole http://Eco.friendly thing but it does get very hot and it would've been nice to dry up a little. My group went on Social Addiction night which was Top 40 mash up. Overall the music was good, only one major screw up and the crowds disapproval was well known. No pressure when there's a club full of people yelling and boo.ing at you. Aside from that music was good. My biggest concern or dislike is with how security handled the ghetto fab folk that were throwing drinks on people and trying to fight. I applaud them for breaking up potential fights rather quickly but what I don't agree with is that after the first incident the people that instigated the fight were not taken aside or kicked out by security but rather it was the people that were defending themselves. Then when the same set of instigators started a second fight, again it was the other person that was taken aside and again, the instigators were left to enjoy the evening. I believe that a 0 tolerance policy on fights should be strictly enforced. That whole group should've been thrown out from the first fight especially since the males and females in the group were trying to beat up on 1 woman! I hope that this group of people doesn't represent the general type of crowd that frequents the establishment and I don't think they do because everyone else was so nice. I understand that security just wants to diffuse the situation but they missed the mark a little bit on how they handled the situation. Security is not somewhere to slip up, especially when SF is having so many issues with violence inside and outside of the club doors.

Great spot! Went months ago previous Fela! On Broadway opened to see Amayo + Antibalas. Great concert! Kevin Mambo and Seun Kuti were the guests and they rocked! Though the place was packed people wasn't jammed together. Very spacious and comfortable. They always have some band live going on.

It's really a stretch to even call this place a restaurant. From the outside it looks like a shady bar or nightclub - no windows, no menu, no sign that it's even open. Inside there's a few tables, fluorescent lighting, a short buffet-style counter with a crowded kitchen behind it. The food was delicious! The cook/owner was friendly and explained each dish. The bf loved the homemade chili sauce. The place reminds me of lunches in a church basement with much better food.
