by Annie H. on Love the Edison bar! When I first stepped foot into this bar/lounge I struck by the beauty and elegance of the place. On the walls films from the 20s projected on the walls. The crowd is diverse and a little bit more mature. Theres a dress code, so most people are dressed on the nicer side... and don't be surprised if you see some patrons in 20s and other vintage clothing and costumes. The food is expensive and so-so. I recommend to reserve a table if you want to guarantee entry on a friday or saturday night, the table is free but its a minimum of $25 per person. If you can make it to happy hour which is 5-7pm this is perfect when I went a few weeks ago there was no line and they had one special $1 drink. I didnt love the drink and it was weak, but how can you complain about something thats only a $1?! Rick was our bartender during happy hour. He's wonderful and very cute. Tip him well if you're lucky enough for him to serve you. When we left happy hr we told the door guy we'd be coming back in a few hrs, luckily when we showed up around midnight we didn't come by way of 6th street but from the other side of the ally and the door man remembered us and let us right in. Also shout out to Paul, was a server there once when we got a table in feb and whenever ive gone back and he's always theres. He's very personable as well. If he serves your table he's awesome and will watch out for you. We had some guys bothering us a few times and he helped us get rid of them. As for drinks I recommend the Mistress Noveau for the girls.. its pink and theres champagne in it, very yummy.
by Robert Y. on Le Cercle is really going downhill! It used to be fun, but now it is just an expensive waste of time with really bad service if you are not going to spend some money $$$$. Especially in this economy, is minimum booking at $200 a table with tip for guys really worth it to book with average looking girls who most times just drink your alcohol and leave. The service at Le Cercle is really terrible if you do not have a good regular waiter. Most waiters, if you are not a regular or drop $$ a tip at the beginning, really do not bring the attractive girls to your table and hustle to make sure you have a good time. The bar is the WORST, with their horrible WATERED DOWN drinks, and the bartenders with the TERRIBLE attitudes, especially the short one with the negative, stuck up attitude who's name I think starts with a "V" or something. No wonder the bar area is so DEAD and nobody buys drinks there at all. All my friends have abandoned Le Cercle for VR! We are more than HAPPY to drop $$$$$$$ at VR instead.
