Okay so one star for Supperclub, this is purely for the days of yore when real performers worked here and the staff wasn't so pompous that their heads barely fit through the door. The food here used to be worth waiting for dinner for, these days however sub par doesn't even begin to cover it. Gross is more like it. Staff: Unfriendly bunch of leftover ravers. Nuff said. Music: Never really been inspired by any music Ive heard here. (Ive frequented this club on many occasions. ) Crowd: Bridge and Tunnel and random suits from the marina and nether regions of SF. On certain nights they will pull in every burning man freak you can find, but that's an improvement over the everyday. Its always packed with undesirables, and grabby men. If your into that and waiting ten years for your extremely overpriced drink. This is your place. The bartenders here lack social skills so be careful what you order, as they often pretend they cant hear or see. Ive been there on more than one occasion and had to wait forever for drinks while the bartender stood and had shots with his group of friends right next to us and the line piling up. Once the lights go off and the music starts blaring, you can barely see and you definitely cant hear anything so don't expect a rewarding social experience. I try to avoid this place like the plague, as their service, food, and overall talent has gone in the toilet in the last year n a half. Uninspired comes to mind as a one word description. So sad, Supperclub you had so much potential at one time.

I like the location of the club. Easy walk from the subway. The HUGE doorman was nice. However... it's really small and there's not really a place to dance. The bar is also small, at one end of the room and difficult to get to when it's crowded. I would think if alcohol brings in the $$, then it should be easier to get to, yes? You shouldn't make your patrons rub up against each other to get their drink on, yes?

I've never left disappointed. My favorite thing about the Hong Kong, besides the Scorpion bowls, is bringing dates before 7pm for a couple drinks. That's when you have the bar alone to yourself, can pick out exactly what you want to listen to, and even the lighting, if you're not too shy to ask. Sadly, I've never been to the comedy club upstairs and the only time I sampled the food was when I needed a bad chinese fix after a hangover. Hint: don't eat here. Stick to the drinks, namely Scorpion bowls and Tiger beer. Also, don't eat here. Seriously.
