by Kulia V. on This place is awesome! I ended up here 2 outta 3 nights in SF. Good music, hot dancers, and heavy handed bartenders. (Shot out to Summer for hooking us up at the bar). It's every girls dream! Def my fav club in SF. I knocked a star because although the bathrooms are big and nice, they weren't well kept during the night. But that won't stop me from going back there whenever I'm in the bay.
by Chuck Payn on My friend has a birthday party there on Saturday. A friend of his had a party there before. I wasnt impressed when he told me the venue. I still wasnt that impressed when I got there. The crowd is a mixture of B&T crowd, neighborhood drop ins and those that came for the Latin room in the back. The look of the place is definitely a club atmosphere. There are some couches and tables for a loungey feel. I did like the back areas, if you just want to stand or rest. You don't feel like you are stuck on the dance floor if you dont want to dance for that moment. The music was definitely Top 40 with a few hiphop/reggae songs thrown in. The DJ repeated some songs, but left out a few important party songs The ladies room is quite small and tight - isn't that always the case? The poor ladies room attendant didnt make any money according to her tip jar, but she was a bit aggressive with shoving paper towels at the handwashers. Come to think of it, the coat checkers at the front were cold & unfriendly- it doesnt hurt to smile or say thank you in response to it being said to you. I gave them a tip because they didnt charge me extra for my sneaker bag ( I never wear my heels home) This isn't a place that I would come back to unless I'm in the area (never)
by Arturo Hevesy on Bimbo's is my favorite venue to see live music in the city. It's elegant, warm, and has a completely retro feel. I saw Neko Case here a while back, and the acoustics were fantastic...Neko sounded amazing.
