Watched as the asshole bouncer let all these ppl in bc they paid him or were blond with big boobs- and I did the right thing with my girls in line, we waited. When I asked when we would get in he said rudely, "you are just going to have to wait." An hour?! at the FRONT of the line?! Give this place less than a year and they'll be gone. Bouncers will yet again be low lives and jobless. You just don't treat ppl like that.
by Jason Monahan on Walking to the Mezzanine for the first time I saw a used condom, syringe and empty plastic vodka bottle in the alley. It sounds contrived but I assure you it's true. Mezzanine is in the heart of the Tenderloin, and looks industrial outside but is posh and swanky inside. Very NYC. But really the shows are the ultimate allure. Every time I look at their website there is a band I wanna see. I have seen !!! and a New Years Party show there. Drinks are overpriced but few places in SF arn't....I never had a problem with the crowd, but I am pretty chill so I dont start static very often. All in all its a pretty unique venue for SF.
by Vanessa G. on Dude, one time I got hit on by a drag queen here. That was a first time experience for me. And then it got me thinking because I thought drag queens liked guys. Anyway, this bar is pretty fun. I came with all my hot girlfriends and you can dance or play pool or go on the patio in the back and smoke or get a drink at the bar or hang out with men dressed like women.
