For the love of all things Kitsch Mexican, here's to you Velvet Margarita. Bold Caballeros are not just for the Gene Autry Museum. They are all up in your grill here! And everything else that is Dia de los Muertos. I wish this place was my house; I'd walk through the corridors like I was Pancho Villa wearing the biggest ass sombrero this side of Olvera Street and a red velvet bathrobe to match the upholstery. Alas, I've just come here as I patron, no not patron (yet). Just recently, it was with fellow rateclubser-who-hasn't-rateclubsed-yet, aka the spicy Nicaraguan, Mayra F. We popped in for a drink and a snack before catching a show across the street at Hotel Cafe. We ordered a round of their supped-up $14 margaritas made with organic agave nectar and their special patron-esque tequila. We watched as the bartender performed a Tom Cruise Cocktail's maneuver and then looked behind him to see if we were watching. He didn't make enough to fill both glasses so he shrugged and topped them off with more tequila. Boom! What a smooth buzz. Since food is verboten at the bar, we sat at a mirrored table and the waiter brought us blood red chips with a salsa sconce containing 2 salsas and a bean deep reminiscent of the canned stuff that was big in the late 90s sold in the chip aisle. The stuff you ate while watching MTV Yo! Raps and The Grind. Remember now? We split the spicy potato and cheese flautas with re-fried beans and rice, delicious, but it hit your stomach with the biggest grease grenade ever. Oh it hurts so good! We couldn't eat any more after that so we cashed out and headed to our show. On other occasions, $5 margaritas on the patio are essential. On other occasions, Pink walked right by me (about ye high) getting rushed into some clandestine patio. Velvet Margarita, you had me at Kitsch.

Awesome awesome bar, my new favorite!! The guys that own the bar are really cool too. Love the photo booth for silly drunken photos and strangely enough love the girls bathroom- GORGEOUS color!! Will be going back to Shine for both business and personal events. Got to say i would give it 10stars if possible..... a bar that does a 3 hour open bar with no cover for their anniversary deserve some kind of award!! keep up the good work guys :-)

The name says it all. Located on the top floor of the Quincy Market Place, Boston Rocks had a great variety of Hip Hop and R&B on a Friday night. This place really kept me dancing all night long! Drinks were decently priced, around $7 and were made correctly! The only downside of Boston Rocks is that it is small! There aren't many leather booths to take a break and once the club was packed it was so cramped that you can't really help it if you're elbowing your neighbor. Get here early because I left around 1:15 am and there was still a line of 100 people waiting to get in - give it up and go home. Restrooms: On the second floor part of the Quincy Market Place, these RR make you wish that you brought some antibacterial with you. With little gnats flying around all over the place, how's a girl suppose to go?
