by Demetrius Laughbaum on Rustically pretty large room especially appealing at dusk. Beautiful bar and friendly and helpful staff. Food very good and it is about time that an Israeli restaurant has made a splash. My problem with Zahav is that it shouldn't cost $170. for 3 people paying pretty dear prices for side dishes that are given gratis in Israeli restaurants much like the Korean banshan? Did the owners think that their patrons had never eaten in Israeli restaurants? Sixteen dollars for a precious portion of chicken kebob? I don't think so.
by qirk z. on Food was good, had a group of 9 on a weekend nite, no reservation. We commanded the floor until about 8:30p. I ended up getting the chicken drummettes and the ginger chicken. The dummettes were as expected, and good, and meaty except for a handicapped few. The ginger chicken was so so... it was chopped/cubed chicken mixed in with carrot slivers, bell peppers, and ginger. Rice was included. I didn't try the ethiopian stuff, having tried it before at another place, but wasn't feeling it tonight.
