I've been here 2x - both at night. 1- school event. tons of fun, end of the year. no more teacher, books, dirty looks. haha. 2- just w/friends. I had a good time and the brown haired bartender was really awesome. the blonde one wasn't so nice, but maybe she was having an off day, so who knows. I like fireplaces. yay fireplace! but, it's not a place I would normally recommend to people, but it's not too bad either. I would definitely go again. I've never been during the day - so it might be better then!!!

Ok, I went on a Thursday night (Drum N bass Night) and I had no clue what I was getting myself into. The music was sooo good though, I caught my head nodding to the rhythms and after awhile my feet were moving and before I knew it I was spinning and girating all over the floor with everyone else--only difference--I was the only one on beat. I just loved and appreciated the energy of the place and felt like no one came there with expectations to stand against the wall and look cute everyone was really getting into it and I thought that was amazing. After about 4 Corona's with lime I was just sweating and dancing and really getting a kick out of the music and the aura of the place. I never expected to have so much fun, and I am glad my friend recommended it. Everyone should experience something like this, because it truly is a unique experience :)

Here's the deal: Wednesday night IS MJQ night and it's wonderful! highlights: dancing. DJ spinning. two bars. two rooms. dancing. lots of seating. and more dancing BUT I give four stars and not five due to the logistics of getting there... if you want close, free parking, get there at 11 and parallel park on the street on St Charles Ave. because it won't be crowded yet at all. The drawback is that it won't be crowded yet at all. In fact, the doors don't open until 11:00pm and the party doesn't get rolling until midnight. If you're with friends, you might like getting there at 11 and watching the crowd buildup and thus bring the dance floor to life. But if you're there JUST to dance or JUST to meet strangers, you'll be bored until midnight. And gosh, don't dress up. This isn't Buckhead. But it isn't Sunday School either. The style is skanky/emo/posh/grunge. I'd say...
