Bad for bowling. Okay for food. Lounge?? If you wanna go to an expensive lounge and you've been to the hundreds in NYC already, I suppose you could stop over here. Apparently it's a lounge and bowling- Bowling: You will be extremely frustrated if you take bowling at all seriously. The lanes must not be maintained well because the ball would not go straight down the lane no matter what you did. Well maybe it was the balls. The plastic bowling balls suck and you're not allowed to bring your own ball (are you kidding me?). Food: The food was good. Just be sure you order as soon as you get your shoes if you wanna eat before your game is up. Lounge :-?: To be honest I suppose I didn't stay late enough to experience the "lounge scene". The atmosphere is very nice. Comfy couches nice lighting and all. My cousin had on a polo shirt and jeans and was refused entrance. I'm not sure how fancy you're supposed to get to go to a bowling alley. (again are you kidding me?) C'mon there are way too many bowling alleys in NYC (that are not practically in the Hudson River) for Lucky Strikes to act so exclusive and expensive. It was a Friday evening and there was no line or wait so I'm not sure how the place is being managed. Hopefully you'll have a better time than me and my crew of six. Or even better hopefully you'll just go somewhere else.

I've lived in London and Spain and I've gone out all over New York, but RISE is the best club I have ever been too. They are straight up with you. They hit you with a big cover, but after that the coat check is a buck, and the drinks are reasonable. Granted, the drinks are also nonalcoholic, because this is Puritan Boston, and the Puritans didn't rave drunk. But I don't really like raving drunk anyway. The sound system is mega.
