by Spanky M. on The space is tiny and the flow of traffic is difficult because of where the bar is and where the smokin area is. It becomes jam packed. The crowd the night I came was very artsy / hipster factor. The DJ was amazing, one half of Optimo. The set dropped some sick beats but i simply wasn;t feeling the crowd. I felt like I should of taken a few classes at the Institute of Art before I came. I would probably boil it down to an almost exclusively hipster crowd.
by L'Imperatrice E. on First time visiting Buddha Bar and enjoyed mostly the ambiance and the diverse crowd. Cool and very contempo to invite friends for some drinks or perhaps dining, the staffs are friendly, and the music is great. The decor is absolutely beautiful and clean looking. I won't advise anyone to walk in there with Sneakers or sloppy...you just would feel out of place. Buddha Bar located at the chic Meat Packing District, very pricey to at least afford a sign outside the entrance for someone who never been there before. The only con about this place would be two things: pricey drinks and food (overly pricey) to burn a hole in your wallet.
by Gilberto Mccaster on Update: They stopped doing their sunday brunch. Incredible sunday Brunch! We were the only group there, because the brunch is not being promoted -other than word of mouth. HURRY! Get to this insanely amazing brunch before they cancel it. It was the largest most wonderful brunch I had ever experienced - better than the Ritz. Everything from sushi to couscous to lamb to artisan cheeses. Really nice waitress!
