by Ben W. on The food at Cover 3 is great! Their Reuben is fantastic, as are their breakfast dishes. However, the atmosphere says it's nice restaurant, but the big TVs on the wall say don't take a date there. Lunches & dinners are a touch expensive, breakfast is a good bargain. Also, their website sucks. It doesn't even have their hours of operation.
by Charline Westerling on This place is special. It has an old school vibe that is missing from all Hollywood clubs. First off it's in the heart of the city, which can be intimidating to people at first, get over it. LA is as varied as any other large city, and within those variations lie a lot of rare gems, this is one of them. The decor harkens back to a turn of the century supper club. Tall ceilings, art on the walls and a huge wooden bar are just some of the clubs visual treats. I've been there for world music night, and really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of this club. My only complaint, and this can be taken with a grain of salt, is the clubs lack of real liquor. They serve good beers on tap, but if you're not a beer drinker your choices are few. Basically they carry a less alcoholic version of an asian rice vodka, and I couldn't help but asking why. I had a Cosmo made with this stuff, and while it was very tasty, for $9 it didn't even tickle me in the right places. Aside from that there is plenty of seating, a nice big dance floor, great food and the staff is really super cool. I enjoyed the club and can't wait to go back. Parking is a challenge, but they do have a parking lot just for the club down the street. We were lucky and found it right out front. No problems with anyone or anything. Just a good night out.
