by Modesto Lacio on I love Morimoto. I have been here several times for both lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. I'd say that this is a surefire way to have a positive and delicious dining experience. Things I highly recommend: The rock shrimp tempura might be the single tastiest thing I've ever had in my life. I've had it every time I've gone and it's been a blissful gastronomic experience every time. The sauce on it is tangy and delicious and it is perfectly balanced by the refreshing and crisp lettuce-like vegetable that it comes out with. For lunch, go with one of the special lunch boxes - it is incredibly reasonably priced. I got the spicy beef box and thought it was absolutely fantastic. The assorted Asian mushrooms that came with it were so fresh and a great balance to the flavor of the beef. The person I went with got the chicken katsu box and said that she would highly recommend it as well. Their rolls are great. The fish melts in your mouth. I got a spicy salmon roll (my favorite) and I thought they did it very well. Their menu changes from time to time so it's been a pleasant surprise to go back whenever I visit Philadelphia and go there! Overall, I can't recommend this place more highly.
by Lawrence Kloke on mezzanine is da $hit! prime location. great venue. dope acts. boomin' sounds. cool crowds. i've been here to see chromeo, brazilian girls, mike relm & yelle and i've always had a fabulous time! wish i had tickets to see lady gaga though :( anyone wanna take me? j'adore le dance floor! i love rollin' & smokin' in their back, outside area.
