I've been wanting to check out Shine for some time, the club is somewhat small and hard to find..don't let this deter you from going, it's what makes this club so much fun!!! The staff is really friendly and the DJs keep the place jumping till closing ( Shine could easily go until 4 or 5 am.) Music: House and more House!!! I love it!!! the DJs at Shine rock!! I didn't go for the drinks or the bar parse, but 1$ well drinks were nice.

Characters: Jack and His friend who doesn't leave Simi much. We open our scene at the bar in The Velvet Margarita... Jack: Man, If you're going to drink here you have to order the Velvet Margarita. Friend: Ohh what's that? Jack: Only the greatest signature drink in Hollywood. Friend: Cool I'll get that! Hey, bartender one Velvet Margarita please. Bartender: And for you? Jack: Um... I'll take a New Castle. Bartender: You got it. Friend: *Confused look* 3 minutes later. Bartender: Here you go guys... *Hands my friend a hollowed out pineapple filled with blended red goodness and with a little umbrella on top for effect.* Jack: Hey, lets go talk to those girls. Friend: You're an ass. End Scene Velvet Margarita, Thanks for the memories.

Little Baobab was a refreshing change in attitude from SoMA clubs that I've been to.  Many of these SoMA clubs, in my opinion, have all the Hollywood pretentiousness but none of the hawtness.  I've been to a few other clubs in SF, and found that the ghetto element is present no matter where you go.  Little Baobab certain did provided the certain expected ghetto element, but it was mixed with interesting music, cheap drinks, and mixed crowd.  In a little shoebox space.  It can get crowded. There was a $5 cover, and after that, the beers are $3, and the special margaritas were $5.  Parking may be a challenge, but park on parallel streets to mission and you'll be fine.  Come here for the cheap drinks and interesting music.  Don't come here to seek luxury.
