by Bennett Puerta on Ugh! What a total sh*tshow this place is. The wait wasn't long at all, even on a Friday night, which goes to show that if a place is almost empty on a Friday night, it's not worth checking out. But my girlfriends aren't as judgmental as me, we were all hungry, and I didn't want to have to take out my claws to argue with a bunch of hungry women. So I figured, "What the heck - let's give this place a chance." It took us around 20 minutes to flag down our waitress to get water. It was pretty obvious that she was avoiding us - how can you miss 6 thirsty women trying to flag you down for some liquid happiness? Then it took another 20 minutes for her to get our orders. I was craving dead animal, so decided on the Sirloin Burger. Problem with Jillian's is that they have difficulty understanding what sirloin beef is. It tasted more like...ground chuck beef, 10% fat. That's like, $0.99/lb at some cheap supermarket in the outskirts of town (not that I would know, but one can only assume). So yes, the burger...sucked. It had no flavor and was very overcooked despite my asking it be medium-rare. So the bill comes and we all split the check, each paying with credit card. 12 hours later, the following morning, all my girlfriends and I get phone calls from our respective credit card companies. Apparently, our waitress had swiped our credit card numbers and decided to um...spread the love. So yes, I became a victim of identity theft (the guy that got my credit card info thought it would be cool to try to gas up 3 times in the Oakland area...sucker...I don't buy gas...ever.) I called up the restaurant and asked to talk to the manager, to pass on an FYI as to what happened and to tell him that he should really be more careful with who he hires as his staff. He shrugged it off and just asked me to fax him my receipt so he can "keep it for future reference." Whatever...
by sarah D. on I just moved to the city so I was very excited to hit the clubs..This was not what I had in mind.The guys were all creepy and very pushy. Even the security was kind of creepy. I dont think I will be going back there any time soon
by Loyd Densford on I wasn't the smartest girl when I agreed to go to Suite 181 back in the clubbing days. A lot of other people aren't, either. There is always a line outside. And it smells like pee. OK, so it looks pretty big and nice inside. But I can't get over the pee smell. The bartenders can mess up every single drink you order. Mojito - with no crushed mint leaves. Vodka anything - just taste like bad liquor. I've learned to just stick with beer and stay upstairs. I need to learn to just stay away. A year + and counting...that's a start.
